Queen Mathilde Marie Christine of Belgium arrived in Dhaka

International Desk:  Queen Mathilde Marie Christine of Belgium arrived in Dhaka on a three-day visit. Mathilde visited Bangladesh as an advocate (ambassador) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. She is the first Queen of Belgium to visit Dhaka. 

Earlier, sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that President Md. Queen Mathilde's visit to Bangladesh. Abdul Hamid will have a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. A dinner will be held in his honor.

During her visit to Bangladesh, Queen Mathilde will visit a garment factory. He will talk to the workers of that factory to know about their location. Besides, he will visit a school run by UNICEF in Narayanganj.

According to the itinerary, Queen Mathilde will visit the Rohingya camp in Chittagong's Cox's Bazar, where she will interact with the women Rohingya refugees. Besides, he will go to Khulna. There you will visit a UNDP water sector project and talk to its beneficiaries. Mathilde will ask them how they are benefiting from the project. 

Note that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has nominated 17 prominent people as SDG advocates. Those who use their influence to raise global awareness. Apart from Rani Matheldi, UN SDG advocates include Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, India's Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi and Bollywood actress Dia Mirza.
