News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has visited Padma Bridge. The Prime Minister visited the dream Padma Bridge on foot and by car. His sister Sheikh Rehana was with him at the time. On Friday (December 31) at 8:23 am, the Prime Minister arrived at the Padma Bridge in a convoy. He walked with his younger sister and others for about two kilometers from Pillars 6 to 17.

Abdul Quader, executive engineer of the Padma Bridge project, who was with the Prime Minister, said that the Prime Minister was looking happy while inspecting the Padma Bridge. Incidentally, the 6.15 km long two-storey Padma bridge will have railways at the bottom and roads at the top. China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Company Limited (MBEC), a Chinese contractor, is working on the construction of the main bridge, and Sino Hydro Corporation, another company in the country, is working on river governance. The work of the bridge is about 95 percent completed.

The inauguration is scheduled for June 30 next year.
