Two killed, two injured in plane crash in California

International Desk: A plane crashed in San Diego, California, USA. At least two people were killed and two others were injured. The accident took place around 12 noon local time on Monday (October 11).

The accident happened in the Santana High School area. Upon receiving the news, the fire service personnel reached the spot and carried out rescue work. However, it was later reported on Twitter that all the students of the school were safe.

Witnesses said at least 50,000 people lived in the residential area where the plane crashed. A retired couple has been rescued from the area affected by the accident. Another 10 houses were destroyed. Several cars were burnt.

Meanwhile, United Parcel Service of America authorities have confirmed that one of their employees was killed in the crash. The condition of the other two injured is not yet known.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane is a twin-engine Cessna-340 model. Initially the idea was that the private plane was going from Arizona to San Diego. However, they also said that the cause of the accident is being investigated.
