Another 46 died of corona in Chittagong on the day of death

News Desk: In the last 24 hours in Chittagong, 48 people have been identified as newly infected with corona. In these 24 hours no one died due to corona infection. Earlier, September 17 was a day of death in Chittagong.

The information came from a report released by the Chittagong District Civil Surgeon's Office on Saturday (September 25). On Friday, 26 people were identified as Corona. Three people died on that day.

The district civil surgeon said. Rabbi Sheikh Fazle said samples of 1,530 people were tested in 10 labs in Chittagong and one in Cox's Bazar and coronavirus was found in the bodies of 47 people. 26 of them are residents of Chittagong city. The rest are from different upazilas. In the last 24 hours, the corona detection rate is 3.06 percent.

Among the upazilas, 1 in Satkania, 1 in Anwara, 1 in Boalkhali, 2 in Patia, 9 in Hathazari, 3 in Sitakunda and 2 in Mirsarai have been affected by corona. No new cases of corona were reported in Lohagara, Banshkhali, Chandnaish, Rangunia, Raozan, Fatikchhari and Sandwip upazilas on the day.

So far 1 lakh one thousand 572 people have been infected with corona in Chittagong. Among the identified, 63,057 are residents of Chittagong city. The remaining 26,995 are from different upazilas.

No one has died in Chittagong in the last 24 hours. A total of 1,269 people have died in Chittagong so far. Of these, 611 died in Chittagong city and 58 died in different upazilas.

The first corona patient was identified on April 3 last year in Chittagong. Then on April 9, the first person to die from the virus.
