Three people were arrested in the capital along with 40,000 pieces of yaba

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Mugda Thana Police have arrested three people from the Mugda Thana area of ​​the capital along with a large quantity of yaba. The names of those arrested are Md. Kamal, Mosammat Rahima Kamal and Md. Rajib.

They were arrested along with Yaba from the North Manda area at 6am on Thursday (September 23).

Mugda Police Inspector (Operations) Ashish Kumar Dev, who led the rescue operation, said there were reports that some drug dealers were buying and selling yaba in the North Manda area. On the basis of this information, a team of police engaged in a special operation in the police station area conducted an operation in North Manda area and arrested Kamal, Rahima and Rajib. A microbus transporting drugs, including 40,000 pieces of yaba, was recovered from them during the arrest.

The arrested persons have been sent to a wise court in the case filed by Mugda Police Station, the police official said.

The operation was conducted under the direction of Motijheel Division Deputy Commissioner of Police Md. AH Ahad, PPM under the supervision of ADC Sabujbagh Md. Aktarul Islam and led by Inspector of Police (Operations) Ashish Kumar Dev.
