3 arrested with 12 thousand pieces of yaba in Demra of the capital

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Detective Lalbagh Division has arrested three people, including 12,000 pieces of yaba, from Demra in the capital. The arrested are Shaheen, Suleman and Zaheer.

Madhusudan Das, assistant police commissioner of the DB Lalbagh division's organized crime and car theft prevention team, confirmed the matter on Tuesday (September 21st).

He said Shaheen, Suleiman and Zaheer were arrested in separate raids on September 19 and 20. Based on reliable information, Shaheen and Suleiman were arrested in a raid on a house in Demra on the night of September 19. 12,000 pieces of yaba were recovered from under the bed of the house. An unregistered motorcycle was also seized at the time.

He added that Shaheen and Suleiman mentioned two more people during the interrogation. Those who bring this yaba from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka. On the basis of this information, Zaheer was arrested on September 20 in front of the Joykali temple in Tikatuli, Dhaka.

He said that the arrested persons have been sent to the wise court in the case filed by Demra police station.
