1 more person killed in Chittagong, 76 identified

News Desk: One person has died of coronavirus in Chittagong in the last 24 hours. At this time, 6 people have been identified as newly infected with corona.

The information came from a report released by the Chittagong District Civil Surgeon's Office on Tuesday (September 21). Earlier on Monday (September 20), 26 people were infected with corona and one died.

The district civil surgeon said. Rabbi Sheikh Fazle said samples of 1,648 people were tested in 11 labs in Chittagong and one in Cox's Bazar and the presence of coronavirus was found in the bodies of 6 people. Among them there are 50 residents of Chittagong city, the rest are from different upazilas. In the last 24 hours, the corona detection rate is 4.35 percent.

Among the upazilas, 1 in Lohagarh, 1 in Anwara, 2 in Patia, 3 in Boalkhali, 4 in Raozan, 2 in Fatikchhari, 6 in Hathazari and 5 in Sitakunda have been affected by corona. No new cases of corona were reported in Satkania, Banshkhali, Chandnaish, Rangunia, Mirsarai and Sandwip upazilas.

One lakh one thousand 37 people have been infected with corona in Chittagong so far. Among the identified, 63,457 are residents of Chittagong city. The remaining 26,931 are from different upazilas.

The deceased has been a resident of Corona in Chittagong for the last 24 hours. A total of 1,263 people have died in Chittagong so far. Of these, 608 died in Chittagong city and 565 in different upazilas.

The first corona patient was identified in Chittagong on April 3 last year. Then on April 9, the first person to die from the virus.
