Sports Desk: The Bangladesh cricket team started its journey on the international stage on March 31, 1986. After almost 35 years and 4 months, the Tigers are scoring different centuries in three formats of cricket. This milestone will be met only if the toss is made in the first match of the T20 series against Zimbabwe. So far Bangladesh team has played 99 matches in T20.

The first T20 match of the current tour of Zimbabwe will be the 100th T20 match of Bangladesh. Earlier, Bangladesh played its 100th match in ODI format in 2004 and in Test format in 2016. In other words, after starting the journey with one-day cricket, Bangladesh is completing the century in three formats through T20, the smallest version of the game. The Tigers won their 100th match in ODI and Test cricket. So Mahmudullah Riyadh's team will have the same expectation in T20. Bangladesh played its 100th ODI against India on December 26, 2004 at the Bangabandhu International Stadium. On that day, the hosts won the match by 15 runs with the all-round skill of Mashrafe bin Mortuza. In their first 100 ODIs, Bangladesh won 6 matches. Bangladesh's 100th Test match was on foreign soil. In the second Test of the tour of Sri Lanka on 14 March 2016, various arrangements were made for Bangladesh. All that was needed to prove the self-interest of these events was the victory of Bangladesh. Shakib Al Hasan's century and Tamim Iqbal's two crucial innings helped Bangladesh win the Test in Colombo by 4 wickets. Thanks to which the 100th Test match was painted with victory. Bangladesh won 6 of the first 100 matches in white cricket. Mahmudullah Riyad, the captain of the 100th T20 match, was not in any of the previous 200th matches. He was just beginning his professional career at the start of the 100th ODI. Chandika Hathurusinghe was dropped due to off-form during the 100th Test. That Mahmudullah is the captain of the 100th T20 match of Bangladesh this time. In addition to overcoming the regret of not having played in the previous two centuries, Mahmudullah now has the responsibility to maintain the winning streak of those two centuries. "I played well in the Tests," said the Tiger captain, who is confident of success in the T20s as he has done well in the Tests and ODIs this season.

I have won all three matches in ODIs. The bowlers did well. That confidence must be there. Tomorrow (today is Thursday) so that we can use it and bring the result for ourselves. ' Compared to ODIs and Tests, the number of victories of Bangladesh before the 100th match of T20 can be said to be much higher. But considering the overall aspect, Bangladesh is actually at the bottom. Because the Tigers have won only 32 out of 99 matches. But in this format the winning rate of other countries is more. Eight teams have already played more than 100 matches in Twenty20 cricket.

Bangladesh is going to be the ninth country in the world to score a century in a T20 match. Pakistan holds the record for most 173 Twenty20 matches played. They also have the most 105 wins. Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal, two experienced star cricketers of the team, will not be in the 100th T20 match of Bangladesh. Mushfiqur and Tamim have already left the country due to family reasons and will not play due to knee injury. Therefore, Naeem Sheikh and Nurul Hasan Sohan are more likely to play in the 100th match.

Bangladesh's potential XI in the 100th T20 Mohammad Naeem Sheikh, Liton Das, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah Riyadh, Afif Hossain Dhrub, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Taskin Ahmed, Mostafizur Rahman and Shariful Islam.
