Sports desk:  After the failure in the World Cup, Babar Azam left the captaincy of the three editions of Pakistan under much pressure. This opener regained the captaincy again within four months. Shaheen Shah Afridi was stripped of the T20 captaincy within four months.

Former captain Rashid Latif said that Babar took revenge on Shaheen Afridi in such an incident in the Pakistan team before the World Cup.

Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim returned to the Pakistan team after the intervention of the Pakistan Cricket Board. After the return of these two stars, the Pakistan Cricket Board took the initial squad and sent the cricketers to army training for fitness.

Just when the cricketers are busy in the fitness camp, the cricket board decided to bring back Babar Azam as the captain of Pakistan in T20 and ODIs. Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif thinks that if Pakistan does not win the upcoming T20 World Cup, there may be a split in the team. Latif said that seeing the current instability of the Pakistan team reminds him of the nineties.

Referring to the Afghanistan series as an example of Pakistan's captaincy change, Rashid said, 'Shadab Khan acted very wisely after the series loss to Afghanistan. He said that without Babar-Rizwan this team is not complete. It means - I (Shadab) am not the captain. When Babar was removed from the captaincy, I expected the same from Afridi. If Afridi had taken a stand that day, we would not have seen this day. No matter how friendly the two were, Babur did not take revenge?'

Rashid Latif feels that Afridi's return after Babar's loss of leadership and Babar's return - both of them have been wronged. Worried about Pakistan's current situation, this former captain said, 'If they don't win the World Cup, then the team will break down. It is very important to win the match against India. Seeing these (ongoing situations) reminds me of the nineties.'
