On Tuesday, Peter R. de Vries went to join a live television channel near the city center of the capital, Amsterdam. He used to take part in the show almost every day. As soon as he got out of there, he was attacked.

Peter is well-known as a criminal journalist. He has run a crime show from 1995 to 2012. That show took him to the pinnacle of fame. The country's outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte has expressed deep grief over the death of the famous journalist. "This is very sad news," he said in a statement. Dark day for the country. Through this, black color was sprinkled on the freedom of media. Other ministers have also mourned Peter's death.
