80 earthquakes were felt in a few hours in Taiwan

According to the report, 80 earthquakes struck the east coast of Taiwan from Monday night to Tuesday morning, according to the meteorological administration of the island nation. Among them, the strongest tremor was 6.3 magnitude.

Some of the tremors were felt in the country's capital, Taipei. Taiwan's Meteorological Administration said the remote eastern county of Hualien was the epicenter of the quakes. Earlier this month, at least 14 people were killed in a 7.2-magnitude earthquake in the same area. The Hualien Fire Department said early Tuesday that a hotel damaged by the April 3 earthquake was further damaged and leaning.
