The issue is based on the news of the registration of 8 Bangladeshi players in the Sri Lankan Premier League (LPL) cricket. The six cricketers are Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehdi Hasan Miraj, Taskin Ahmed, Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar.

The second edition of the LPL will be held from July 30 to August 22. But Bangladesh has a T20 series against Australia again from August 2 to 6. So what will happen to Bangladeshi cricketers registered in LPL? Which will they play in?

Akram Khan, chairman of the BCB's cricket operations committee, answered the question. In an interview with cricket-based website Cricketer, he made it clear that cricketers will play the country's game first. If there is an opportunity later, they will go to foreign leagues.

Cricketer Akram Khan said on Saturday, "Bangladeshi cricketers will not be able to stay at the start of the LPL. Because then we have a series against Australia. We have more potential series. But sometimes there is some free time. They will be able to play LPL at that time. '

The BCB has taken a list of 22 potential cricketers for the new central contract. Akram said that all the cricketers there have already chosen to play for the country in three formats. In other words, Shakib-Tamim will not go to any other league if the schedule conflicts with the game of Bangladesh.

Akram commented, ‘All cricketers are ready to play in three formats. They said that the responsibility of the national team is their first priority. They said they would play there if they get the chance and have time to play in the LPL. But that is not in exchange for dropping the national team game.
