Dhaka-Seoul relations will be brighter: South Korean Ambassador

News Desk: South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Zhen-Kyun said the Dhaka-Seoul relationship will be even brighter in the future. Because Bangladesh has long attracted big investments from South Korea. They are moving forward successfully. The Korean Export Processing Zone (KPZ) in Chittagong is a symbol of Korea-Bangladesh relations and cooperation.

Chairman of the Korean company Youngwan Kihak Sang and President of KPZ Jahangir Sadat were also present on the occasion. Even when the world economy slowed down during the Corona epidemic, Bangladesh's economic growth was at its peak. Regarding the recent remarks of South Korean Prime Minister Chong Si-kan about Bangladesh, the ambassador said the PM's message reflected Korea's observations on all aspects of bilateral relations and the future of relations.

We are the most loyal friends of Bangladesh. Among the epidemics, Bangladesh and Korea are both achieving significant economic growth. Our future will be brighter. He said, 40 years ago, Youngwan came to Bangladesh and set a bright example.

He founded Youngwan Corporation in 1974 with a love for nature. The Ambassador said that the relations between Korea and Bangladesh are unique in many respects, especially in the field of readymade garments. Korean companies have developed with Bangladesh. Looking around the KPZ installations and factories, Youngwan Chairman Kihak Sang said some Korean companies are very interested in coming to the region.

I encourage them to come here and play a role in the industrial development of Bangladesh. He said the infrastructure in and around Chittagong is progressing rapidly.

"I must say, we're going to do better - I'm very optimistic," Kihak Sang said. We are doing a very good job to bring more investment. In response to a question, the Korean Ambassador said, Bangladesh's future on development in the field of information communication technology (ICT). Bangladesh has a huge young population. This is a great opportunity for ICT development.
