One Killed, Two Injured in Truck Collision in Tetulia

A man named Hafizur Islam (25) was killed after a truck hit the easybike (battery-run three-wheeler) he was riding on his way home in Tetulia, Panchagarh. The accident occurred on the night of Wednesday, July 23, near the Dahuk Bridge area adjacent to Majhipara on Shalbagan Road. Two others, including the easybike driver, were injured in the incident.

According to police and local sources, Hafizur was returning home from Tetulia by easybike. When they reached near the Dahuk Bridge, a speeding truck from behind rammed into the easybike, causing it to lose control and crash into another stationary truck ahead. The easybike was badly crushed in the impact. Hafizur died on the spot, and two others were injured.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Debashish Roy of Tetulia Highway Police Station confirmed the incident, stating that both trucks involved and the easybike have been seized. Preparations are underway to file a case under the Road Accident Act in connection with the fatal accident.

t the matter, Sharsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) KM Robiul Islam confirmed the incident and said that Abdur Rahman had been arrested and sent to jail in connection with the extortion case.
