Two Drug Dealers Arrested with 502 Pieces of Yaba in Fulbari

A special team from Fulbari Police Station arrested Mosammat Shiuli Begum (38) red-handed with 15 kilograms of cannabis from the Kuthi Chandrakhana area under Fulbari Thana in Kurigram district.

According to Fulbari Police Station sources, on the night of Wednesday, July 23, during a special anti-drug operation led by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fulbari Thana, police received a tip-off that a drug dealer was selling narcotics from her residence in the Kuthi Chandrakhana area. Acting on this information, the police raided the location and arrested Md. Ashraf Ali (50) and Md. Shahidul Islam (40) red-handed with 502 pieces of Yaba tablets.

A case has been filed against the arrested individuals under the Narcotics Control Act at Fulbari Police Station.

Kurigram District Police’s Media Officer and DB OC Md. Bazlar Rahman confirmed the incident, stating that initial investigations revealed the arrested individuals had been involved in illegal drug sales across various areas under Fulbari Thana for a long time. Further investigations are underway to identify if others are involved in this drug network. He also affirmed that anti-drug operations will continue regularly across Kurigram district.
