Chapainawabganj streets flooded after rain; public suffers

Chapainawabganj Correspondent: Just one hour of continuous rain submerges most roads and markets in Chapainawabganj town under knee-deep water. As a result, school and college students face severe suffering. Many are getting injured by falling into potholes hidden under water.

On Sunday (July 20) around 11 AM, heavy rain began pouring down.

Within a short time, knee-deep water accumulated in the town’s central area—School-College Road. Similar scenes were seen in the New Market and Club Super Market areas. As schools and colleges closed during this time, students struggled to return home. Several vehicles got stuck in the water, adding to the misery.

Locals blame the inactive and faulty drainage system of the municipality for this suffering.
