Couple Arrested with Phensedyl in Faridpur

Faridpur Correspondent: Police have detained a couple with 70 bottles of Phensedyl in Boalmari, Faridpur. They were detained from Chandani village of Gunbaha Union in the upazila on Wednesday afternoon. The detainees are Mosharraf Hossain (45) of Chandani village and his wife, Hena Begum (35).

According to police station sources, based on a tip-off, a team led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Abdur Rahman and Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI) Monir Hossain and Shafi Uddin, along with accompanying forces, conducted a raid at Mosharraf Hossain’s house on Wednesday afternoon. Police detained them while they were counting Phensedyl in Mosharraf Hossain’s kitchen. At the time, 70 bottles of Phensedyl were recovered from the couple, and they were taken into police custody.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalmari Police Station in Faridpur, Sheikh Sadik, said that Mosharraf and his wife Hena Begum were detained with 70 bottles of Phensedyl following a raid based on a tip-off. He further said that Mosharraf is a professional drug dealer. A drug case will be filed against the detainees, and the accused will be sent to court on Thursday.
