News Desk: Tensions between the United States and Iran in the Middle East are steadily intensifying. The U.S. has significantly increased its military presence in the region. With military drills, deployment of warships, and advanced fighter jets, fears of a potential war breaking out at any time are becoming more pronounced.
However, Iran is not sitting back in fear of U.S. military presence or President Trump’s threats. While expressing willingness to resolve the crisis diplomatically through negotiations, Iran has also claimed that it is preparing itself for a possible war.
U.S. media outlet CNN has released satellite images of several of Iran’s nuclear facilities. Analysts say the installations appear to be more secure and fortified than before.
In addition, Iran has rebuilt its ballistic missile production centers. However, during the 12-day conflict with Israel, the country reportedly faced significant challenges regarding fighter jets and air defense systems. Taking potential future conflict into account, Iran has purchased fighter jets and acquired advanced air defense systems from Russia. As part of this effort, air bases are being repaired to ensure they remain operational in the event of sudden attacks and to enable rapid counter-attacks.
Shahroud, the largest city in Iran’s Semnan province, is home to the country’s largest missile production facility. Considering the possibility of war, the Shahroud facility has been rapidly reconstructed. Alongside repairing installations damaged by U.S. strikes during the conflict with Israel, Iran has also enhanced its missile production capacity using new technologies. Experts say the center can now produce missiles faster and in greater quantities than before.
Alongside military preparations, Iranian and U.S. representatives held more than three hours of talks in Geneva. However, no final resolution was reached.
Iran’s newly formed “Defense Council” has begun intensifying wartime preparations. Former IRGC commander Ali Shamkhani has been appointed as secretary of the council. His objective is to further strengthen the country’s defense system and take effective measures to address emerging threats.
Meanwhile, Iran’s navy is conducting intensive drills in the Persian Gulf. The country recently held joint naval exercises with Russia. Military activities have particularly increased in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial international waterway for global oil transportation.
Additionally, the Iranian government has strictly suppressed internal protests spreading within the country. Experts suggest Iran is sending a message to the United States that any war would not only be military but could also cause economic and strategic damage.
The growing U.S. military presence in the Middle East and Iran’s war preparations are raising global concerns. Many fear that if war breaks out, it could cause instability in global oil markets and potentially spread conflict across the entire Middle East.
