UNO Tuhin Hossain inaugurated the National Vitamin 'A' Plus Campaign in Gopalpur

Gopalpur (Tangail) Correspondent:  Like the rest of the country, the Vitamin 'A' Plus campaign started in Gopalpur, Tangail on Saturday. Gopalpur Upazila Executive Officer Md. Tuhin Hossain formally inaugurated the program by administering vitamins to children at the Upazila Health Complex Center.

Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Khairul Alam, MODC Dr. Mahadi Al Hasan Orville, DKIB Gopalpur Upazila Branch General Secretary Md. Abu Kaiser Russell, Medical Technologist (EPI) Md. Gias Uddin Talukder, Health Inspector Md. Arifur Rahman and others were present at the event.

Free Vitamin 'A' plus capsules are being administered at 169 health department and 25 municipal centers in the upazila. In Gopalpur upazila, a target has been set to administer free Vitamin 'A' plus capsules to 3,300 children aged 6 to 11 months and 25,500 children aged 1 to 5 years from 8 am to 4 pm, according to relevant sources.
