News Desk: A low-pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Gangetic West Bengal-North Odisha coastal area. Under its influence, squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay of Bengal, and adjacent coastal areas of Bangladesh, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

In this situation, the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to hoist Local Cautionary Signal No. 3.

This information was released in a weather warning message today, Saturday (July 25).

The warning message also advised fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay of Bengal to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
