News Desk: Newly appointed Chief of Bangladesh Navy, Vice Admiral Khondokar Misbah Ul Azim, has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The courtesy meeting took place today, Saturday (July 25), at the Prime Minister's Office.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on maritime security of the country, enhancing professional capabilities and modernization of the Navy, and various related matters.
The Prime Minister praised the professionalism of the Navy and the force's important role in protecting the country's sovereignty. At the same time, he wished the newly appointed Naval Chief a successful tenure.
During this time, the Chief of Naval Staff expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister.
