News Desk: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police has got the involvement of two airlines in human trafficking from Bangladesh. CID-led Additional Inspector General Mahbubur Rahman told a news conference on Tuesday.

He said the CID had questioned the officials of the two airlines. Officials have admitted that some of their staff were involved in human trafficking. Although the two airlines did not disclose their names, the CID chief said they were not Bangladeshi companies.

Mahbubur Rahman further said that 26 Bangladeshis were cheated. They leave the country on travel visas and conference visas. Those who go on such visas, they buy a return ticket. The one-way ticket for immigrants was 'Oneway'. Such tickets are issued for those who have stayed in any country for a long time.

CID is investigating a total of 25 cases. 299 people have been accused in these cases, 181 people have been arrested and 42 people have given confessional statements in the court.
