Bangladesh beat Bhutan 6-0

Sports Desk: Bangladesh and India have already confirmed the final of SAFF U-16 Championship.

Before the final on March 10, Bangladesh-Bhutan was the last official match of the group on Friday. Bangladesh beat Bhutan 6-0 at the Chesal Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal. Even though the final was confirmed one match ago, Bangladesh played against Bhutan without making any changes in the XI. In 13 minutes, the red-green jersey holders went ahead. Surbhi Akand Preeti breaks the offside trap to catch Fatima Akhtar's long cross. The forward dropped the ball and headed it over the goalkeeper into the net. Fatema scored the great goal that gave Bangladesh a double lead in the 33rd minute.

The midfielder took a free-kick from well outside the box and found the net. A crouching Marma widened the gap from a corner in the next minute. Marma found the net with an empty header at the far post in Fatima's corner. Sathi Munda increased the gap at the beginning of the second half. Substitute Moumita Khatun's cross from the left-wing touched Surveer's feet and the ball went to the unguarded feet of Sathi in front of the post.

This Bangladeshi winger widened the gap by making use of easy opportunities. Thuinui Marma widened the gap in the 69th minute. In the 77th minute, Surbhi Akand Preeti entered the box alone and scored the team's sixth goal past the goalkeeper. And that confirmed the big victory of Bangladesh.
