Sports Desk:  Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season is going on. Recently, Bangladesh team head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe made a comment. Where he said, sometimes he turns off the TV to watch BPL. He even compared BPL with circus. He made this comment in an interview given to ESPNcricinfo last Sunday (February 25).

One day after Hathurusingha's comments, BCB President and Youth and Sports Minister Nazmul Hasan Papon spoke to the media on Monday (February 26). He said, a foreign coach is an employee of our cricket board. Constructive criticism can come from our media or other places. But I work in BCB, again a foreign coach. Then I said that the bad condition of BPL is turning off the TV. Whether it falls under its code of conduct or ethics.

After Nazmul Hasan Papon, former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza spoke about the issue. He said, I have never felt the condition of turning off the TV with the remote. Due to my busy schedule, I have not seen my matches for the last four days. Of course, in BPL, my country's players are playing, there is no question of stopping or turning with remote.

Which team will be the champion? Mashrafe said that Rangpur is my favourite. Of course Comilla are always in the title race. Barisal is also a favorite team. But Rangpur was my favourite.

To be noted, in an interview given to Cricinfo, Hathurusinghe said that we (Bangladesh) do not have any suitable T20 tournament. This might sound a bit strange. Whenever I sit down to watch BPL, sometimes I switch off the TV. Some of the cricketers participating here have no (enough) class at all.
