Argentina-Nigeria friendly match in China cancelled

In a statement announcing the cancellation of the match, the Hangzhou Sports Bureau said, 'As a commercial event, a company and the Argentina football team decided to play a friendly match in Hangzhou in March. But the reasons are known to all and we have also learned from the supervising authorities that the friendly match is not in a condition to be organised. Due to which we have decided to cancel the match. '

Argentina is scheduled to visit China next March as a preparation for the Copa America. Where they will play against Nigeria and Ivory Coast. Coincidentally, these two African teams will be playing in the final of the Afcon. The match against Nigeria was supposed to be played in Hangzhou but that is not happening now. As a result, the match against Ivory Coast in Beijing was also thrown into uncertainty.
