40 thousand pieces of yaba recovered in Teknaf, arrest-4

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Teknaf recovered 40 thousand pieces of yaba and four drug dealers were arrested by members of RAB-15. The arrested drug dealers are Syed Alam (33) son of Shamshul Alam of Teknaf Sadar Union Ward No. 8 North Nazirpara village, Syed son of deceased Nazir Ahmad of Shilbunia Para village. Ahmed (34), Noor Alam (32) son of Noor Islam of Nazirpara village and Md Ismail (22) son of Md Ishaq conducted a raid in Shilbunia Para area at 5:30 am on Saturday, July 29.

RAB-15 Cox's Bazar Senior Assistant Director (Law & Media) Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Abu Salam Chowdhury said in a press release, "RAB-15's raiding team came to know on the basis of secret information that the panka was going from Teknaf Bazar to Sabrang Bazar in Shilbunia Para area of ​​Teknaf Upazila. Some drug dealers are staying on the streets for the purpose of buying and selling illegal drugs Yaba tablets or sending them to other places. Based on the news, on Saturday (July 29, 2023) at 5:30 am, RAB-15, CPC-1 of Cox's Bazar, a smart raiding team of Teknaf camp, drug special. conducts the campaign.

During the operation, four drug dealers were arrested when they realized the presence of RAB and tried to escape. After searching the body and the polythene bag of the arrested persons, a total of 40,000 (forty thousand) pieces of Yaba tablets, 4 smart phones, 4 button phones and 13 SIM cards were recovered from their custody. Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Abu Salam Chowdhury also confirmed that a written statement has been submitted to Teknaf Model Police Station to take necessary legal action against the arrested and absconding drug dealers including Yaba.
