NATO chief urges Turkey not to veto Sweden's dream

International Desk: NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg urged Turkey not to veto Sweden's accession to NATO. After a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, NATO Secretary General Stollenberg said Sweden would be safe if it got membership.

And it will strengthen NATO and Turkey. NATO Secretary General said, Sweden's accession to NATO will be resolved soon. Earlier, Turkey gave permission to Finland to join NATO. The country joined NATO as the 31st country in April.

Sweden formally applied to join the military alliance NATO in May last year after Russia began military operations in Ukraine. Since Turkey is a member of NATO, Sweden must agree to join the alliance.
