News Desk: President Md. Abdul Hamid left Dhaka for Singapore this (Tuesday) afternoon for his health check-up. At 4:50 PM, a VVIP Bangladesh Airlines aircraft carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. During the eight-day visit, the head of state is scheduled to undergo a health check-up at Mount Elizabeth Hospital and eye treatment at the Singapore National Eye Centre.
Minister of Liberation War A. K. M. Mozammel Haque, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. AK Abdul Momen, Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Cabinet Secretary, Chief of the three forces and concerned senior civil and military officers saw him off at the airport. President's wife Rashida Khanum and concerned officials of Banga Bhavan accompanied Abdul Hamid on the visit. According to the program, the President is scheduled to return home on April 5.
