News Desk: Britain has called on its allies to provide more military aid to Ukraine as quickly as possible. In a statement issued by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Russia is currently in a difficult position due to logistical problems and weakened morale.

Because of this, an opportunity to send the Russian troops back to their country and establish peace was lost. That Britain is sending several Challenger tanks to Ukraine has been confirmed by Prime Minister Sunak's statement. The plan was announced on Saturday (January 14).

Britain is also reportedly planning to send several more automatic weapons to Ukraine. These weapons are much like tanks. These may progress on their own. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that their Challenger Two tanks will strengthen Ukraine in the war with Russia. During a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Saturday, Sunak announced plans to supply additional weapons, including these tanks. According to the Prime Minister's Office, Downing Street, the plan shows Britain's willingness to provide more military aid to Ukraine.

According to the plan, Britain will send 14 Challenger Two tanks to Ukraine. Another 30 British-made AS90 large-scale automatic weapons are also expected to be sent. President Zelensky thanked Britain for this plan. He said, 'This decision to give tanks will not only strengthen us on the battlefield, but it will also send the right message to other allies.' The Prime Minister's Office, 10 Downing Street, informed that the two leaders discussed some of the recent victories of the Ukrainians over the phone. They said, with the help of military and diplomatic support, this moment should be pushed forward. Britain's plan was announced after Russia launched new missile attacks across Ukraine, including the capital Kiev, Kharkiv and Odessa, on Saturday. At least 14 people were killed in a Russian attack on an apartment block in the eastern city of Dnipro that day.

The British Army's main battle tank is the Challenger Two. It has a crew of four, commander, gunner, loader and driver. This number is one more than the number of crews on the main tanks of Ukraine. It can protect itself from direct hits from the enemy. These tanks weigh 64 tons which is heavier than Russian tanks. Prime Minister Sunak said that he hopes that with the help of these tanks, the Ukrainian forces will be able to send the Russian soldiers back to their country. Challenger tanks are more than 20 years old.

They were made in the 1990s. However, compared to the tanks that Ukraine is using in the war with Russia, the British-made Challenger tank is the most modern. Military experts say that with the help of these tanks, Ukraine will be able to build better defenses. At the same time, it will be able to carry out more precise attacks. Britain will also train the armed forces of Ukraine on how to operate these tanks and how to conduct attacks on the enemy with them. Britain hopes that the supply of these tanks to Ukraine will change the course of the war and at the same time encourage other countries to provide Ukraine with more modern weapons.

Tobias Ellwood, head of the Defense Select Committee in Britain, welcomed the government's decision, saying, 'International aid to Ukraine is still very little. Russia wants us to hesitate. If we don't step forward and support Ukraine, Russia will not go away.' He is pushing for an arms factory in eastern Poland, from which Ukraine can procure weapons in the long term. Poland also plans to send 14 German-made Leopard tanks to Ukraine. However, German approval is needed to send these tanks to Ukraine. Kiev hopes that the US will also send some of its Abrams tanks to Ukraine. The same ammunition used in the Leopard tank is also used in the Abrams tank. Earlier this month, Germany, US and France agree to send armored vehicles to Ukraine It is believed that this will significantly increase the military strength of Ukraine. Russia has warned about plans to send Britain's Challenger tanks to Ukraine.

Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said, 'As we have said before, a Russian attack on arms supplies would be a legitimate target.'
