Sports Desk: A famous Brazilian sports writer said, 'If you were not born as a human being, you would have been born as a football player. 'Skill, rhythm, art, magic - what was not in his feet. He is arguably the best footballer of all time. No one wants to argue again. Pele's style of football has captivated them so much that many of the greatest footballers of all time are asked the question of Pele's name alone. Today is a very painful day for them. Because the owner of 1 thousand 279 goals and 31 titles has left the illusion of this time. Yet Pele will remain immortal through his excellence.

As long as football lives, his name will be taken. He became the first footballer in history to win three World Cups. A feat that no one else could touch till now. Pele's story begins with the World Cup. The loss of the World Cup final to Uruguay at home in 1950 still haunts the Brazilians. A 9-year-old boy cried that day. Even though he was busy playing, he kept listening to the radio from time to time. Pele's father, Dandini, broke down emotionally after the game. His football dream ended prematurely due to a knee injury. So football is in Pele's blood. That day, wiping the tears from his father's eyes, he said that one day I will bring this World Cup. Pele's journey from a neighborhood footballer to a professional footballer began from there. His extraordinary talent was noticed by an official of the famous Brazilian club Santos. He brought him to Santos when he was only 15 years old. Pele quickly got an opportunity in the main team of Santos. That performance earned him a place in the 1958 World Cup. But it was not the end of the debate! Because the Corinthian legend Luzhinio was overlooked to make way for Pele. Pele was injured while playing a friendly match against Corinthians. He could not play the first two matches of the World Cup. He made his debut against the Soviet Union but could not score in that match. However, Pele's only goal saw Brazil beat Wales in the quarter-finals. After taking control of the ball with his chest, 17-year-old Pele beat a defender to score. Now maybe someone can dribble better than Pele, someone can run better. But Pele took receiving the ball to an art level. It is still difficult to find footballers who can receive the ball like him. Pele stunned everyone in the semi-final against France. His chemistry with Garrincha on the right wing was impeccable. His hat-trick gave Brazil a 5-2 win. And it was the same story against Sweden in the final.

Pele scored two goals in front of nearly 50,000 spectators at the Rasunda Stadium. Brought Brazil the first World Cup title. He fulfilled the promise given to his father. On the other hand, the whole world started falling in love with Pele. In the 1962 World Cup, Pele entered the field as the best footballer in the world. In the first match against Mexico, he knew his race again. First, this forward made Bhabha a great goal. Later he got himself on the scoresheet after cutting past four defenders. But the World Cup ended with an injury in the next match. However, Brazil ended the tournament by winning the World Cup. Ambition about Brazil in the 1966 World Cup was high. But the Selecao left everyone disappointed in the group stage. Pele suffered back-to-back fouls against Bulgaria and Portugal. Pele decided to retire after the World Cup. But he was retired before the 1970 World Cup. Because a king's story should end royally. He formed a great attacking unit with Crodoaldo, Rivelino and Tostao. As a result, Brazil won one after another. Beat Italy 4-1 in the final. Where Pele scored a goal as well as an assist. Pele will be remembered forever for that assist. He got the ball slightly outside the D box and pushed it towards Carlos Alberto with his first touch. Alberto ran and found the address of the net with a bullet speed shot. In addition to being the best footballer of the World Cup, who scored four goals, he got immortality. The year before that, he became the first footballer in history to score 1,000 goals. He spent eighteen years in club football at Santos. Won 25 titles for the club. In 1975, he joined the New York Cosmos to introduce football to the people of the United States. Pele retired from football in 1977 after playing three seasons. His record of 77 goals for Brazil still stands. Neymar also wrote his name in that record in the recently concluded World Cup in Qatar. After leaving football, Pele became Brazil's sports minister. He has to resign before the end of his term due to corruption charges. However, beyond the title of politician, Pele's main identity is in football. He will be the eternal king of the world's most popular game!
