International Desk: Iran is going to become a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, an alliance formed in 2001 by the initiative of China and Russia. According to Reuters, on this occasion, the country has completed signing the official commitment. In a speech on Thursday (September 15), Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said that President Ibrahim Raisi signed this in Uzbekistan. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said on Instagram that after this signing, Iran has passed another step towards becoming a full member of the SCO. Currently, there are eight countries in this alliance. Apart from China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are members.
