Two illegal brick kilns eviction in Satkaniya

Ramzan Ali, Satkania (Chittagong): According to the instructions of the Hon'ble High Court Division, enforcement and mobile courts were conducted by the district administration, Chittagong against illegal brick kilns in Satkania upazila of Chittagong district from the morning of September 5. M/s Harun Bricks Manufacturers located in Chankhola of Eochia Union of Upazila was illegally operating a brick kiln without license and clearance. As part of the enforcement and operation of mobile courts against illegal brick kilns, bricks, kilns and chimneys were demolished. Later, the brick, kiln and chimney of Khaja Bricks Manufacturers located in the same area were demolished due to cancellation of environmental clearance as it was set up near the educational institution. Members of the Department of Environment, Police, Ansar, Fire Service and Civil Defense fully supported the district administration in this campaign.
