Sports Desk: Hasan Mahmood made his first-class debut for Chittagong in the National Cricket League in 2017-18. This pacer caught the attention of BCB by showing consistent bowling skills in domestic cricket. Later in 2020, Bangladesh toured Pakistan to play T20 series. Hasan Mahmud made his debut in the national team in that series. After a long break, Hasan Mahmud returned to the national team with the Zimbabwe series. The comeback series of the talented young pacer went well. He took 5 wickets in two ODIs and one T20I. On that occasion, he made it to the 17-member Asia Cup team. But today (August 20) Hasan injured his right ankle during fielding practice at Mirpur National Stadium. It is reported that he will need three weeks to recover from the injury. As a result, he is not playing in the Asia Cup. A BCB source confirmed this. The Bangladesh team will leave for the United Arab Emirates to play the Asia Cup on August 23 at 5 pm. This year's Asia Cup will start with Afghanistan's match against Sri Lanka on August 27. Bangladesh's first match in this tournament is on August 30, against Afghanistan.
