Sports Desk: Indian coach Sridharan Sriram has been appointed as technical consultant (advisor) of Bangladesh team. Sriram's contract with BCB runs until the T20 World Cup in Australia in October. BCB president Nazmul Hasan said this at a press conference in Gulshan, capital on Friday (August 19). The board president said, "We shortlisted Sriram, he was in that list. He is supposed to reach us here on the 21st at noon. The responsibility is not right, it means not coming as a coach. He is definitely not coming as a head coach. He is coming as a technical consultant. Coming up to the T20 World Cup.” Papon also said, “How many considerations have he been brought in? As he has association with IPL. We wanted someone with T20 involvement, experience. And since the game is in Australia, he has worked in Australia for a long time. We took him to the World Cup for these two reasons." Sreedharan, who played 8 ODIs for India, worked as a spin coach for the Australian team. He was the coach of IPL teams Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings.
