Germany-Italy new corona identified 'Omicron'

Germany's regional health ministry says a new type of coronavirus has been found in the state of Bavaria in two people infected with Omicron. They arrived from South Africa on November 24 at Munich Airport.

Health authorities in the Czech Republic say they suspect an infected person may have been infected with Omicron. He has just returned from Namibia.

Earlier on Saturday, the health minister of the United Kingdom, Sajid Javid, reported that two people had been infected with Omicron in the United Kingdom.
