Sports Desk: Gamini de Silva, the chief pitch curator of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, went to Sri Lanka on holiday after the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League due to lack of cricket in the country. He returned to Bangladesh yesterday (Wednesday) after a holiday. However, even after returning to work, Australia is not able to stay physically in the series. Sit in the office and handle phone calls or video calls.

All members involved in the series must be quarantined for at least 10 days before the start of the series, according to Australian conditions. As such, the members in charge of broadcasting including match officials, groundsmen and hotel staff have already entered the quarantine. However, Gamini did not enter the quarantine as she was on leave. Even after returning from vacation, he is no longer getting the opportunity.

On the Gamini issue, BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury said, "Gamini has returned from a holiday in the country. He is not part of the biological protection zone. He will not be able to enter the field during the Bangladesh-Australia series.

However, Gamini will run the activities. Watch the video footage of the wicket before and after the match and give the necessary directions. Debasish said, ‘His activities will not be stopped. Since he is the chief curator, he has to do his job. Must see wickets. However, he will not do that job in the field. Sit in your office. You will give all directions from there. '

Back in the country, however, Gamini has already broken the rules. After returning from Sri Lanka, he turned to Mirpur from the airport yesterday without complying with the safety zone and quarantine conditions. There he observed the wickets at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. However, when the series against Ajit continues, Gamini will not get that opportunity.

The Australian cricket team will set foot in Bangladesh today (Thursday) to play a five-match T20 series. Hosts Bangladesh and visiting Australia will play a five-match series on August 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Each match will start at 6 pm.
