Sports Desk: Why Williamson is having a great time in his career. A few days ago, he led New Zealand to the title of Test Championship. In the meantime, he got the news of rising to the top of the ICC batsman rankings.

Today (Wednesday) the ICC gave this good news to Williamson. The Kiwi captain scored 901 rating points in two innings of 49 and 52 not out in the low-scoring final of the Test Championship against India.

That is why Williamson has removed Steven Smith from Australia who is at the top. Smith, who dropped to two, has a rating of 10 points (691 points).

Just two weeks ago, Smith rose to the top of the Test batsman rankings, surpassing Williamson. But this time he could not last long.

In the second innings of the Test Championship final, Ross Taylor made an unbeaten partnership of 96 runs with Williamson in an unbeaten 48-run innings. The Kiwi batsman, who made a significant contribution to the team's victory, has moved up three places to 14th position.

Devon Conway also made a big jump. The left-arm batsman, who scored 52 runs in the first innings of that Test, has moved up 16 places to 42nd position.

Australia's Marnus Labushan is at number three among the Test batsmen. His rating point is 7. With 612 points, Indian captain Virat Kohli is at number four. England's Joe Root at number five.

New Zealand fast bowlers have also improved in the Test bowler rankings. Kyle Jamieson, who took five wickets for 31 runs in the first innings and two wickets for 30 runs in the second innings in the final, has risen to 13th position. Another fast bowler Trent Bolt is two steps ahead at 11 with 5 wickets in two innings.

Among the bowlers, Australia's Pat Cummins is at the top as usual. Ravichandran Ashwin of India in two and Tim Southee of New Zealand in three.

India's Rabindra Jadeja has lost the top spot in the all-rounder's list. West Indies' Jason Holder has risen to number one. England's Ben Stokes at number two. Jadeja is in the third position behind. His compatriot Rabichandran Ashwin is four. Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh is at number five.
