News Desk: The price of onion has come down in the markets of the capital in the space of a week after the sudden increase. However, all kinds of vegetables are being sold at high prices as before. With that, the price of chicken remains unchanged. Traders say the sudden drop in the supply of domestic onions in the market has led to a rise in prices. The price jumped from 40 rupees to 60 rupees per kg.

Salam Sheikh said many people have bought extra onions after seeing the increase in prices. As the demand increases, the price of onion goes up further. But now the demand has decreased. The supply of domestic onions has also increased. Due to this the price has come down. Gautam, a trader at Karwan Bazar, said the supply of onions was declining due to a halt in imports from India. At the same time, the supply of domestic onion was less in Faridpur market. That is why the price of onion goes up in a hurry. But now the supply is much better. That is why prices have come down. Meanwhile, broiler, golden and red layer chickens are being sold at the same price.

Traders are selling broiler chickens at Rs 130 to Rs 140 per kg. Red layer chicken is being sold at 230 to 240 rupees per kg. And golden chicken is being sold at 210 to 230 rupees per kg. Regarding the price of chicken, Khilgaon trader Zahirul said that there was no change in the price of chicken during the week. Now the golden chicken is available at a relatively low price. Our idea is that this situation will not last long. The price of golden chicken may go up in a few days. Meanwhile, it has been seen that cauliflower pieces are being sold at 40 to 50 rupees in the vegetable market.

Eggplant is being sold at 40 to 60 rupees per kg. However, the prices of cucumber, brinjal, patal and dheras remained unchanged during the week. Cucumbers are being sold at 40 to 50 rupees per kg in Manvede. Patal is being sold at 40 to 50 rupees per kg. Dheras 40 to 50 rupees per kg. Besides, barbati is being sold at Rs 60-70 per kg, cannabis at Rs 60-100 per kg, ripe tomatoes at Rs 60-70 per kg and squid at Rs 40-50 per kg. Glass hali is being sold for 35 to 40 rupees. Pieces of laurel are being sold for 60 to 70 rupees. One kg of kachu lati is being sold for 50 to 60 rupees. Papaya is being sold at 40 to 50 rupees per kg.

Usher kg is being sold for 60 to 70 rupees. Regarding the price of vegetables, Aynal, a trader in Karwan Bazar, said that the price of vegetables is a little higher at such a time every year. Prices are less likely to fall before the onset of winter vegetables but may rise further in the future.
