Sports Desk: When the whole world talks about the European Super League. English club Tottenham's coach Jose Mourinho has been sacked. Tottenham was among the top 12 clubs to agree to host the Super League.

However, the dismissal of Mourinho has nothing to do with the new tournament. Tottenham has decided to sack him after failing to reach the domestic league. Tottenham is seventh in the list with 50 points from 14 wins from 32 matches in the English Premier League.

In 2019, Tottenham replaced Mauricio Pachettino, the Argentine coach, with Mourinho, 56, as head coach. He was also sacked by the club a week before reaching the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

Tottenham has won 44 of their last 86 matches. Tottenham had a contract with Mourinho until 2023.
