International Desk: Serum Institute of India has started the process of bringing another anti-coronary vaccine after Kovishield. The serum is hopeful that the second corona vaccine will hit the market by September this year. It has been named Kovovax.

The vaccine is being developed by a US company in collaboration with the Serum Institute.

The trial of this vaccine has already started. Adar Punawala, an official at the Serum Institute, said in a tweet that the new vaccine is capable of fighting the South African and British types of the corona. Its effectiveness is 69 percent.

The Serum Institute has developed the first corona vaccine, Covishield, in collaboration with Oxford University and AstraZeneca. Covishield is one of the two corona vaccines being administered in India. Besides, India has also sent covishields made of serum to several countries.

The trial started at Pune Hospital on Thursday. The Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Delhi is also part of the trial. The trial will be held in 19 places in the country. The trial will be among 1,140 volunteers. The idea is that Kovavax will be able to fight against the various forms of corona that are appearing. According to one report, there have been three trials in Britain. There, Kovavax has proven to be 98 percent effective.

This vaccine can fight new types of corona that have emerged there. However, in this case, its effectiveness is 7.3 percent. There have been two trials of this vaccine in South Africa. In this case, its effectiveness is much less. Only 49.8% is effective there.

Covishield and covacin are now being offered in India. The coronavirus vaccine has been introduced for those over 60 and over 45 who are at health risk. The Ministry of Health has confirmed that everyone over the age of 45 will be vaccinated against coronavirus from April 1.
