News Desk: Three Bangladeshis have been killed and another seriously injured following a clash among coworkers in the Taman Linggi area of Port Dickson district in Malaysia's Negeri Sembilan state. Police have arrested a 40-year-old Bangladeshi man suspected of involvement in the incident.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad stated that following a report from local residents regarding a clash among several Bangladeshis at a residence at around 4:15 PM on Monday (August 3), a team from the Linggi Police Station went to the scene. During the drive, they arrested a 40-year-old Bangladeshi man.
Based on preliminary police investigations, two more bodies were later recovered from the Sua Manggis Estate area in Linggi.
Police said the bodies of the three deceased Bangladeshis bore severe injury marks on various parts. Additionally, another injured Bangladeshi was rescued and admitted to Rembau Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased, the injured individual, and the detainee were all employed by the same organization and resided together in the same house.
Police suspect that the incident unfolded across multiple locations. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full sequence of events and the underlying cause.
Datuk Alzafny Ahmad noted that no prior criminal record was found against the detainee. He will be produced before the Port Dickson Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to request a remand order.
He further mentioned that the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Malaysian Penal Code (murder). However, the actual motive behind the incident or the cause of the clash has not yet been confirmed.
