BNP Begins Announcement of Election Manifesto

News Desk: The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has started announcing its election manifesto ahead of the upcoming thirteenth national parliament elections.

BNP's election manifesto announcement ceremony started at around 3:30 pm on Friday in the ballroom of Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka. Earlier, party chairman Tariq Rahman attended the manifesto announcement ceremony.

Party General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir presided over the program and Central Election Management Committee Chairman and Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan is conducting the event.

Tareek Rahman is leading the BNP in the national elections. As such, this is his first election manifesto announcement.

The then chairperson Khaleda Zia led the party in the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth parliamentary elections. At that time, she announced every election manifesto.

The party issued its election manifesto with the slogan 'Bangladesh first' as 'Karbo Kaj, Garbo Desh' as the main principle of BNP state management. In this, the first chapter of the five chapters is 'Reform of State System', the second chapter is 'Undifferentiated socio-economic development and sustainable state capacity attainment, the third is the reconstruction and recovery of fragile economy, the fourth is regional balanced development and the last chapter highlights BNP on religion, society, sports, culture and solidarity. 

BNP prepared an election manifesto combining the 19 points of founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, late party chairman Khaleda Zia's Vision-2030, 31 points of state reform announced by Tariq Rahman and the July National Charter.
