“A New History will be Made in the Country through the Election,” says Jamaat-e-Islami Amir

News Desk: Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that a new history will be made in the country through the upcoming election.

He made the remarks on Saturday (22 November) at 11:00 AM while attending the National Representatives’ Conference of the Muslehin at the Nesarabadi Madrasa grounds in Jhalokathi.

He warned that if anyone attempts vote engineering or takes control of election centers as in the past, they will be given an appropriate response.

The Jamaat Amir further stated that their struggle against all oppression, fascism, and attempts to divide the nation will continue. He called for all forces to remain united in support of Islam, without worrying about anyone’s intimidation or violence.

The conference was also attended by Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim as a guest. He said that if Islamic parties unite and cast votes collectively in the upcoming election, a new history can be created in the country.

Other speakers included Maulana Abdul Basid Azad, Amir of Khelafat Majlish; Akhtar Hossain, General Secretary of the National Citizens’ Party; Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, General Secretary of AB Party; Rafiqul Islam Jamal, Religious Affairs Secretary of BNP Central Committee; among others.

The speakers emphasized that if Islamic political parties remain united, victory in the upcoming national parliamentary election can be ensured. They also stated that it is the people who will decide the country’s path, guided by forces believing in Islamic values.

The conference was presided over by Maulana Khalilur Rahman, Amir of Nesarabadi Huzur Muslehin, and was attended by thousands of devout Muslims.
