How to Recover Your Gmail Account and Password If Forgotten

The main reason is forgetting your password or user ID. Fortunately, following a few simple steps can help you regain access.

If You Forget Your Password
If you don’t remember your password, first go to Google’s account recovery website. Enter your Gmail address and click Enter. You will then be asked to provide a previously used password. If you cannot recall any, click the Try option. Google will then send a verification code to your recovery phone number or alternate email. Enter the code in the specified field and click Next. You can then create a new password and regain access to your account.

If You Forget Your Gmail ID
Sometimes, users forget not only their password but also their email address. In this case, go to the same recovery website and click on “Forgot the email address you use to sign in?” Then click the Follow these steps link. Provide your recovery phone number or alternate email, and in the next step, enter your full name. Google will send a verification code to your phone or email. Enter the code correctly, and a list of all Gmail addresses associated with that phone number or email will appear. Select your account from the list and follow the instructions to regain access.

By following these steps, you can easily recover your Gmail account even if you have forgotten your password or user ID.
