Cox's Bazar Correspondent:  The newly formed Ukhia Battalion (64 BGB) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) officially began its journey by hoisting its own flag. At the same time, the flags of the Station Headquarters and Guard Police Battalion, Dhaka and Dog Squad K-9 Unit and Training Center, Gazipur were hoisted.

On Saturday (March 1) morning, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd) Md. The flags of the Station Headquarters and Guard Police Battalion, Dhaka and Dog Squad K-9 Unit and Training Center, Gazipur were also hoisted at the same ceremony. Then, the flag hoisting ceremony ended with special prayers and supplications, wishing for the continued success and prosperity of the newly inaugurated BGB establishments.

Later, the Home Affairs Advisor told reporters that the sensitivity of the Bangladesh-Myanmar border has increased to a great extent due to the ongoing conflict within Myanmar in the past few years.
