District gathering of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force held in Thakurgaon

Thakurgaon Correspondent: Inspired by the motto "We are everywhere for peace, order, development and security", the 45th District Rally of Ansar and Defense Forces-2025 was held in Thakurgaon.

On Wednesday (February 26), Thakurgaon District Shilpakala Academy organized a rally of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force at the Auditorium Hallroom at 11 am. The day's activities began with the guard of honor being given to the chief guest at the District Ansar VDP office. The district rally was inaugurated by the chief guest releasing balloons and pigeons, a symbol of peace.

Abdus Samad, Commander of the Rangpur Ranch of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force, was present as the main discussant, under the chairmanship of Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner Israt Farzana. 

Thakurgaon Superintendent of Police, PPM, Sheikh Zahidul Islam, Thakurgaon Ansar Battalion Director, Abdullah Al Hadi, Thakurgaon Civil Surgeon Dr. Newaz Ahmed, as well as Battalion Ansar, affiliated Ansar, union party leaders, party leaders and other VDP members of various ranks were present at the event as special guests. 

 The overall management of the rally was under the supervision of Saifuddin, Thakurgaon District Commandant of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force. 

Addressing the Thakurgaon District Ansar and Defence Force as the chief guest, Rangpur Ranch Commander Abdul Samad said, "Ansar and Village Defence Force are a traditional force of this country. We are the army of the soil and people of this country. We are the largest law and order force not only in this country but also in the whole world. Our role in this country, from the language movement to the independence movement, is immense." 

We mainly work in three areas: protecting the independence and sovereignty of the country, maintaining law and order in the country, and achieving the country's self-social development. 

The program ended with Thakurgaon District Administration Ishrat Farzana and Rangpur Ranch Commander Abdul Samad distributing bicycles and sewing machines among various battalion Ansars, affiliated Ansars, union party leaders and party leaders.
