Sports Desk: Chris Gayle, the devastating batsman of the West Indies, has left Pakistan's domestic T20 league PSL (Pakistan Super League) at the call of the national team. Gayle's PSL journey came to a halt after playing only two matches for Quetta Gladiators.

However, the possibility of Gayle's return is not completely over. Gayle will join Quetta again in the second half of the tournament to be held in Lahore after playing for the country. The West Indies will play a three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka at home next month.

The three matches will be on March 4, 6, and 7. The Caribbean Cricket Board will keep Gayle in the squad for the series. So Gayle was forced to leave PSL in the middle. In this year's PSL, Universe Boss has played two innings of 7 runs off 39 balls and 39 balls respectively.

However, his team Quetta Gladiators did not win any of them. Gayle is leaving the team feeling sad in this situation. "It's sad to leave the PSL now," Gayle said after Monday night's match against the Lahore Calendars. Because I wanted to play the whole season. I wanted to dominate the PSL and give some joy to the fans.

' He added, ‘But I am optimistic about joining the second round of the tournament in Lahore. We didn’t want to start with two rates. But now the tournament has just started. Hopefully, we will prove our strength and forget about these two matches and start anew. '

Gayle will wear the national team jersey after almost two years if he gets a chance against Sri Lanka. He last played an international match in August 2019. Gayle's last match in the International Twenty20 was in March of that year. As a result, The Universe Boss is waiting to return to the international stage with the series against Sri Lanka.
