Sports Desk: Shakib Al Hasan dropped out of the last Test of the series due to injury. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Akram Khan confirmed the matter. Shakib was injured for the second time during the first Test in Chittagong.

As a result, he could not bowl-field towards the end of the first Test.

Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan injured his groin during the third ODI in Chittagong. If his condition improves after resting for a while, he will play in the first Test. Despite batting in the first innings, bowling was a hassle. After bowling over, he got injured in the groin again. After the scan, his injury can be confirmed. As a result, he will not be playing in the second Test starting next Thursday (February 11) in Mirpur.

However, the team management has not yet said whether anyone will be called in the team instead of Shakib.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh and West Indies reached Dhaka from Chittagong on Monday (February 6) at noon to play the last Test. The Caribbeans will not have to lose the series at least this time even if they were whitewashed in the Test series after visiting Bangladesh two years ago.
