Before saying goodbye to domestic cricket, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has appointed Abdur Razzak as the selector of the national cricket team. Razzak is the partner of Minhazul Abedin Nannu and Habibul Bashar Sumon in the selection panel. Yesterday (Wednesday) evening was the meeting of the executive committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. It was there that it was decided to appoint Razzaq as the third selector of the national team.

After the meeting, Akram Khan, chairman and director of the BCB's cricket operations committee, called Razzak at around 8.45am. For a long time, the number three position in the selection panel was vacant. Minhazul Abedin Nannu and Habibul Bashar Sumon were in charge. This time they got former successful cricketer Abdur Razzak as their third partner. After being elected, Abdur Razzak said, ‘Thank you to the board for nominating me as a selector.

I will try my best to work as a selector. There are veterans like Nannu Bhai and Sumon Bhai. Being able to work with them is a great privilege for me. I want blessings from everyone so that I can fulfill my responsibilities properly. ' Razzak said that being a field cricketer, it is good for him to know about the current generation. That will help him a lot in his work.

"It's very easy for me to be around the cricketers, to see, hear or understand them because of being on the field," Razzak said. It will even be easier for me to understand their mentality and it will help me a lot in my work. ' Razzak said the BCB has not yet announced when the work will start. But he is ready to take charge.
