Sports Desk: Bangladesh won the series against West Indies with 100 balls and 8 wickets in hand. In the second ODI of the three-match ODI series, Tamim and Sakibra easily crossed the target of 149 runs.

The Tigers averaged three consecutive series wins against the Windies. Bangladesh won the series 2-1 at the away venue in July 2016 and 2-1 at home in December of the same year. Once again, the series win was ensured by keeping one match in hand at home.

Overall, the red-green Bangladesh scored a hat-trick to win the series against the West Indies. In the second ODI, the Tigers got off to a good start with a target of 148 runs. The two openers Tamim and Liton started watching. Liton, who was playing well, left with 22 runs. But at the other end, captain Tamim remained steadfast. He continues with Shant. The West Indies batsmen batted in the second as well as in the first ODI. The helpless West Indies lost 5 wickets for just 41 runs in front of the bowling of Bangladesh. Could not play full 50 overs. He was all out for 148 in 43.4 overs. Mehdi Miraj took 4 wickets for 25 runs for Bangladesh. Besides, Shakib and Mustafiz took 2 wickets each. Mehdi Miraj has been named Man of the Match.

Bangladesh went ahead 2-0 with one match in hand in the three-match ODI series. The third and final ODI of the series will be played on January 25 in Chittagong.
